How our estimates work
- Medicare-anchored procedures (imaging, colonoscopy, vasectomy, cataract, physical therapy, sleep study): we compute the 2026 Medicare rate for your location from CMS files, then scale it by RAND’s measured average commercial-to-Medicare ratio.
- Elective procedures (dental, LASIK, hearing aids, fertility, cosmetic): we use published price ranges, each cited and dated, and let you add quotes you have.
- Then we apply your deductible, coinsurance or dental maximum, HSA/FSA tax savings and a monthly payment.
